Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Basic info
The library is located on the ground floor (Poříčí 5). From the reception, turn left; the library is in room A120 at the end of the corridor.
- The library collection focuses on architecture, art, urbanism, and building engineering.
- The library serves students and staff of the faculty, as well as the entire Brno University of Technology.
- You can access the library catalogue via Primo.
The library collection is located in the study rooms (on the ground floor and upstairs) and in storage areas. It primarily consists of books and periodicals.
Books in the open stacks are arranged according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC); within each class, items are ordered alphabetically.

- approximately 14,000 volumes (monographs and periodicals)

Primo (library catalogue)
The library catalogue, Primo, allows you to search:
- electronic information resources
- books and journals from BUT libraries
- theses and publications from the BUT Digital Library
- selected Open Access resources
After logging in, you can also:
- request items and renew loans
- view your account status, borrowed items, and fines

Wi-Fi Networks
Two Wi-Fi networks are available to BUT students and staff: “vutbrno” (unsecured) and “eduroam”.
- vutbrno: log in using your BUTlogin and BUTpassword
- eduroam: log in using your BUTmail and BUTpin
Reprographic Services
Basic info
- Reprographic services are self-service.
- Konica Minolta C227 multifunction colour printer (A4, A3 printing and copying).
- Each FA BUT user has their own printing account, which must be topped up before printing. Credit from ISIC cards cannot be used.
- Funds from the printing account can also be used in the Computer Centre (Building B).
- You can top up your account at the circulation desk.
Printing
Prices:
- A4 B&W: 2 CZK, A4 colour: 6 CZK
- A3 B&W: 4 CZK, A3 colour: 12 CZK
Before your first print at FA BUT, please set your initial password (received during your application or from the study department). This is necessary to use your faculty account.
Copying
- Copies can be paid for at the circulation desk or deducted from your printing account.
Prices:
- A4 B&W: 2 CZK, A4 colour: 6 CZK
- A3 B&W: 4 CZK, A3 colour: 12 CZK
Scanning
- 3 scanners are available (scanning using the photocopier is not available)
- 2 scanners on the first floor (A4, A3)
- 1 book scanner near the circulation desk (up to A2; USB flash drive required)
- Scanning is free of charge
E-resources (EIRs)
Electronic information resources (databases) provide access to up-to-date, verified information. They are accessible:
- from computers on the university network
- remotely via a proxy server or Shibboleth
- via the Primo search interface (partial coverage)
